It's very interesting that most of the roles I've gotten are grim, when I'm actually a very well-adjusted man and had a happy upbringing. I guess there are some dark shadows somewhere in there, but I'm a big kid.

Anthony Tiran "Tony" Todd is a semi-recurring actor on Dead of Summer, portraying the role of Holyoke.


Life and Career

Todd was born in Washington, D.C. in December 4, 1954. He grew up in Hartford, Connecticut, and attended local schools there. He is also an alumnus of the Artists Collective, Inc. Todd attended the University of Connecticut, and then went on to study theater at the Tony Award Winning Eugene O'Neill National Actors Theatre Institute and Trinity Rep Conservatory. He is also the older brother of actress Monique Dupree.

Todd's voice is considered his trademark. He has appeared in more than a 100 theatrical and television films, and has played opposite many major Hollywood stars. His movie credits include: Beg, Candyman, Changing the Game, Final Destination, Hatchet ll, Minotaur, Night of the Living Dead, Platoon, The Crow, The Rock, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Wishmaster, among other films.

In the summer of 2016, Todd guest starred as Holyoke on Freeform's Dead of Summer.
