Marilyn Norry is an minor actor on Dead of Summer, portraying the role of Counselor in "Patience" and "Home Sweet Home".


Life and Career

Norry is a Canadian actress, director, dramaturg, teacher and writer. She's known for her roles in the films: Mission to Mars (2000), The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005), Flight 93 (2006), Jennifer's Body (2009), Horns (2013) and Disney's The BFG (2016).

Norry was voted Miss Congeniality in the 1976 Miss Perth Contest. After graduating from York University with a BFA in Theatre, Norry honed her craft in Toronto before moving to Vancouver in 1987. Her work on stage playing (among others) Heidi Holland in Wendy Wasserstein's The Heidi Chronicles, and Hagar Shipley in the adaptation of Margaret Laurence's novel The Stone Angel gave her particular insights into dramatic character arcs that have spanned a lifetime.

Norry has also had roles on the television series: Battlestar Galactica, Cold Squad, Continuum, Da Vinci's Inquest, Endgame, Fringe, iZombie, jPod, John Doe, Reaper, Riverworld, Saved, Smallville, Stargate SG-1, Supernatural, The 100, The Killing, The L Word, The Sentinel, The Twilight Zone and The X-Files.

In summer 2016, Norry appeared as Counselor on Freeform's Dead of Summer.
