Life and Career
Cochrane is an actor and published author of Algerian and Scottish descent born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on June 5, 1997. Cochrane graduated in his junior year (unlike the rest of Canada, high school students in Montreal graduate in their junior year) from Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School in his hometown, and was supposed to attend John Abbott College. However, he withdrew his application from that college after his parents' separation and relocated to British Columbia.
Cochrane wasn't keen on pursuing a career in film at first, but he later got into acting when he joined a theatre company while attending Abbotsford Senior Secondary for his senior year credit. Cochrane worked as a batch cook at a McDonald's in order to save up money to attend Vancouver Film School. However, after being discovered by an agent during a photoshoot, Cochrane withdrew his application from film school, and moved to Vancouver to focus on his full time acting and writing career. He first auditioned for the mini-series Project MC², but didn't a role.
In May 2016, on his fifth day of living alone in Vancouver, Cochrane received an audition from his agent for the episodic role of Steve on Freeform's Dead of Summer. Instead, Cochrane won the recurring role of Parker, who director Mick Garris thought he was better off as. Cochrane made his first acting debut on the second episode of Dead of Summer, which aired on July 5, 2016.
