• Camp Stillwater is set in the Midwest because Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz grew up in the Midwest going to camps.
• There are a series of camps named Camp Stillwater in Southern Texas. However, the Camp Stillwater in Dead of Summer takes place in Wisconsin.

Production

• Camp Stillwater is filmed in Minaty Bay, British Columbia, Canada. The same location was used in many episodes of Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz's Once Upon a Time, particularly as the Neverland set.
• Originally, the camp was named "Camp Clearwater", but for unknown reasons it was renamed "Camp Stillwater".
